The interior of the office incorporates the spirit of Japanese hospitality.
The client is a company that conducts branding and communication design on the theme of hospitality. In Japan, the spirit of "hospitality" has been established as the cornerstone of hospitality since ancient times. Therefore, in this office, we tried to embody the "setup" for "hospitality".
By reconstructing traditional Japanese elements in a modern way, visitors will be surprised by the unexpected spatial experience, reset their feelings, and feel relief and calmness in traditional elements. And by approaching with the feeling of a once-in-a-lifetime chance, we aimed for a space where communication can be more positive.
The customer service space was constructed with bold woodwork. Mirrors are used on the walls, and the woodwork spreads continuously into a large space. In addition, traditional materials such as roof tiles, vegetable-dyed Japanese paper, and tatami mats are used for fixtures, walls, and floors.
Traditional Japanese colors were used in combination for the walls and fittings of the office space. By combining these traditional elements with modern elements such as LEDs and glass in an office that tends to be inorganic, we actively create woodwork and fixtures that are intended to stimulate the creativity of workers. The solid cedar wood used is from the natural forests of Koyasan. It was provided for the purpose of revitalizing the forestry industry and branding of Koyasan. Trees are a recyclable resource from planting to harvesting, and revitalizing the forestry industry contributes to the formation of a recyclable forest environment.
