The commission to revitalise and extend Nørrebrohallen (previously tram sheds) in Copenhagen came from a close dialogue with the users of the sports facilities. The main entrance was aligned with the adjacent square and became the centrepiece for the local district with new functions such as café, multifunctional zones and digital displays. The team comprised architects, engineers, branding consultants, anthropologists and artists and included continued user group involvement through the design phases of innovative solutions such as the interactive lighting design that serves as a new identification for the centre.
